The steak marinades are various, and in today’s recipe, we are going to make a really easy one, bourbon cola steak.
If you like drinking bourbon, this is perhaps the best steak recipe for you.
Ingredients you’ll need:
Steaks
1/2 cup bourbon
1 cup cola
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp ground black pepper
Tools you’ll need:
Royal Gourmet Barbecue Tongs
Bourbon actually makes great marinade for steaks, whether you like to drink it or not. Besides, cola and brown sugar offer the sweetness which helps caramelize the steak and give that fabulous color.
It’s really easy to make the steak marinade. In a bowl add the bourbon, cola, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic and pepper accordingly. The soy sauce brings salty flavor already, therefore, it’s no need to add extra salt. You won’t want your steak coming very salty.
Whisk until all the ingredients combine well. In a sheet pan, put your carefully chosen steaks, and pour the marinade in. Toss the steaks to get the marinade all over. Cover the sheet pan with cling film and let the marinade works on meat for 30-60 minutes.
If you are going to refrigerate, don’t forget to rest the meat to room temperature before grilling, or you won’t get a successful steak from your grill.
Preheat your Royal Gourmet grill and grease the grates lightly with oil.
While the steaks are well marinated, take them out and discard the marinade. With Royal Gourmet barbecue tongs, place the steaks on grates over medium high heat. Put the lid down and let your grill do its job.
It usually takes 5-8 minutes for each side to grill, depending on the size of your steak. Pay attention to the temperature control so that your steaks can be cooked evenly.
When the sizzling steaks come out from the grill, they are just so beautiful and fragrant. Smokey flavor and lovely sear marks are imparted from the perfect-performance grill, which make the steaks even more mouthwatering. Slice the steaks after resting for a while.
Take a juicy slice for a try, and you’ll immediately sense the special flavor from bourbon and cola, which is not strong but really delicious.
