Tacos are favored by many people worldwide, since they are always so delicious and flavorful. As for me, the grilled tacos are even better, as they still keep the tasty flavors from all ingredients but also get the unique smokey flavor from grill. Who doesn’t like your food with a bit extra smokey taste?
In this recipe, we’ll introduce an easy-to-make grilled shrimp tacos. Delicious shrimp tacos are made in backyard!
Ingredients you’ll need:
Shrimps
3 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt
Fresh lime juice
1 tsp hot sauce
1 tsp ground black pepper
For sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sour cream
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp hot sauce
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
Tools you’ll need:
Royal Gourmet Barbecue Tongs
Royal Gourmet Stainless Steel Barbecue Skewers
Grills Recommended:
Royal Gourmet Gas Grill SG6002
Royal Gourmet Charcoal Grill with Offset Smoker CC1830F
Get your shrimps cleaned and deveined.
In a big bowl mix the marinade ingredients all together. Whisk to a good combine. Add the shrimps, and keep tossing until they have a good coating of the marinade.
Put the shrimps aside for 1-2 hours, during which time the marinade will give the shrimps various flavors.
Either gas or charcoal grill works well in grilling shrimps, as shrimps are easy and quick to grill. You’ll need to create high heat if you are lighting up charcoals. With Royal Gourmet gas grills it’s faster and easier, while the charcoal grill will impart the unique smokey flavor. (Why not get both if you have problems in decision making)
While the shrimps are under marinating, you can make the sauce for tacos, which is easy as well. Take a small box and add mayonnaise, sour cream, smoked paprika, hot sauce (I use Tabasco), and fresh lime juice. Whisk to combine.
Preheat your grill, and light oil the grill grates.
With Royal Gourmet barbecue tongs, place the well-marinated shrimps upon grill over high heat. If your shrimps are small in size, it is recommended to use Royal Gourmet stainless steel skewers, which will help keeping your shrimps from falling down.
Shrimp is always a good food for big crowd, for example barbecue party and tailgating. They are really easy to cook and will be nicely done in no time.
After about 2 minutes of grilling on each side, transfer the shrimp skewers to a cutting board or a platter. Place some tortillas on grates for several seconds. If you are using gas grill, there’s no need to turn on the grill again.
While the tortillas get that lovely grill marks, place some shrimps in it, add some shredded cabbage and chopped cilantro, top with the sauce you just made. The tasty shrimps tacos are simply done.
The tacos are full of colors and flavors, and no one would resist this appealing dish, of course. If you are planning for a big BBQ gathering, you should definitely put this recipe on your backyard menu, and it won’t disappoint anyone.
