Beef

Spicy Steak Marinade

Everybody loves grilled steak. Who doesn’t? From my perspective, the best steaks are made at home. There are generally two ways when I was thinking about grilling a steak, either simply sprinkle with salt and pepper or marinate the steak before grilling.

I used to enjoy the first way very much, since I just want to keep the quality flavor from the steak as much as possible. However, sometimes when I want a little twist in my steak, I’ll definitely try some good marinade, which is just as delicious.

This recipe is great for those who like spicy food. There must be someone who enjoys spiciness just like me.

Ingredients you’ll need:

Steaks

3 tbsp olive oil

3 tbsp balsamic vinegar

3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp hot sauce

2 tsp minced garlic

2 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp ground black pepper

Tools you’ll need:

Royal Gourmet Barbecue Tongs

Royal Gourmet Chimney Starter

Grill recommended:

Royal Gourmet CC1830F Charcoal Grill with Offset Smoker

In a big bowl, add all marinade ingredients in. Whisk together so that everything combines well. The marinade is simply done.

Take your nice and beautiful steak and coat it well with the marinade. Don’t forget to rest your steak in advance, until it reaches room temperature.

Keep the steak in this easy and good marinade for at least 3 hours, meanwhile preheat the grill.

With Royal Gourmet chimney starter, light up the charcoals and keep the temperature medium high. Cover the lid for 10 minutes. Of course, if you are using a gas one, it works perfectly as well, as long as you control the temperature well.

While the steak is well-marinated and the grill is nice and hot, it’s time to grill.

With Royal Gourmet barbecue tongs, drain and discard the marinade and place the steak upon grill over medium high heat. You’ll definitely love it once you hear the sizzling sounds from the steak. There’s no music else is so lovely like this one.

Put the lid down and let the grill do its job.

It usually takes 5-8 minutes for each side, depending on the size of your steak.

When the steak is nicely done, transfer it to a cutting board with another pair of tongs. It is noticeable that you can’t use a same pair of tongs for raw and cooked meat, for the safety reasons.

Let the steak rest for 10-15 minutes. Slice and serve.

Most of the time, I enjoy the simple steak with salt and pepper very much. The seasoning is simple but delicious. But sometimes having a steak with spicy marinade is absolutely a nice try. If you are serving this in your backyard grill party, you’ll have the guests wowed undoubtedly.

Grab a bottle of cold beer makes everything even better!
