If you ever need to cook a whole chicken in a grill, the beer can chicken is probably one of the most efficient and easiest way. The idea is, while chicken is under high heat in grill, the beer will keep steaming from inside of the chicken. It is a great way to keep your chicken moist and juicy.

Everytime when you get a big group around, this is a great recipe for sharing the delicious grilled chicken.

Ingredients you’ll need:

Chicken (one or more)

Olive oil

Ground black pepper

Cayenne pepper

Garlic powder

Brown sugar

Worcestershire sauce

Lemon juice

2-3 garlic cloves, minced

BBQ sauce

Tools you’ll need:

Royal Gourmet Barbecue Tongs

Royal Gourmet Barbecue Beer Can Chicken Rack Roaster

Royal Gourmet Stainless Steel Grill Spatula

Royal Gourmet Silicone Barbecue Brush

Royal Gourmet Instant Meat Thermometer

Grills Recommended:

Royal Gourmet Gas Grill SG6002

Royal Gourmet Charcoal Grill with Offset Smoker CC1830F

First off, you’ll need to rub the chicken.

Mix the cayenne, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt and pepper well. According to the size of your chicken, the quantity of each ingredient is adjustable. Of course, you can also use the chicken seasoning you bought from store.

Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and rub all over the chicken with the powder mixture. Rub underneath the skin as well, so that your chicken gets more flavors.

Open your favourite beer and pour out half. Add a little Worcestershire sauce and some fresh lemon juice as well as the minced garlic. While the beer is steaming, the chicken can get more flavors inside.

Put the beer can down and sit the chicken right there on the beer top. If you have Royal Gourmet barbecue beer can chicken rack roaster at home, you get a big help. It is made for holding the chicken upright during grilling, giving your chicken a solid foundation.

With the spatula and barbecue tongs, transfer the chicken in grill over indirect medium heat. Put the lid down and let the chicken cook for 1-1.5 hours, during which time remember not to open the lid frequently.

The beer can chicken requires long cooking time, therefore, don’t forget to add charcoals if you are using Royal Gourmet charcoal grill.

20 minutes before the chicken is done, baste your favourite BBQ sauce with Royal Gourmet silicone barbecue brush, imparting that appealing hue to the chicken.

Check the thickest part with instant-read meat thermometer. When the number reaches 165 Fahrenheit, it is nicely done. Transfer the chicken to a clean cutting board and take the chicken off from the beer can or the rack roaster. Rest for 5-10 minutes.

Cut the mouthwatering chicken and share with your family or friends. This beer can chicken doesn’t require a professional chef to make, and you can simply grill it at home. The meat is flavorful, moist and juicy while the skin is crispy, which is nothing but perfect.
