Chili Garlic Scallops

  

Scallop is such a fantastic food ingredients that brings you fresh, juicy and delicious taste every time. The greatest way to cook scallops is to grill them. Nothing compares to the freshly grilled scallops served with flavorful sauce in their shells.

Ingredients you’ll need:

Some fresh scallops

1/2 cup butter

5 garlic cloves, finely chopped

Fresh parsley or cilantro, finely chopped

Chili pepper, chopped

Salt to taste

Ground pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

Lemon

 

 

Tools you’ll need:

Royal Gourmet Barbecue Tongs

Royal Gourmet Silicone Barbecue Brush

 

 

Grill recommended:

Royal Gourmet SG6002 6-Burner Gas Grill

 

 

Get your scallops and keep them nice and clean. Pad to dry the meat with paper towel.

If you don’t get scallops with shells, you can also buy the shells from stores, in order to get ready for serving.

 

Drizzle with a little olive oil and brush the scallops with Royal Gourmet silicone barbecue brush. Squeeze fresh juice from the lemon.

Sprinkle salt and pepper, and let the scallops marinate for 30 minutes.

 

Take a saucepan, add the soft butter, olive oil, chopped garlic, parsley, chili pepper, lemon juice, salt and pepper accordingly. You can also use cilantro instead of parsley if you like. Whisk to a good combine.

 

Preheat your Royal Gourmet gas grill to high heat and oil lightly.

Scallops are delicate and they are good to be cooked directly over high heat.

 

When the scallops are well-marinated, transfer them to grill over high heat. If you want some lovely grill marks, you can grill the scallops directly on grates without shell.

 

Keep the lid down and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. Scallops are likely to dry out quickly, and it’s better to keep an eye on it. If the scallops are not being cooked with shells, flip once carefully, giving each side about 1-2 minutes of cooking time.

 

Meanwhile, turn on the side burner of your Royal Gourmet SG6002 gas grill, and place the saucepan on it, keep stirring and cook to a boil.

 

When the scallops are firm and opaque, take them out of the grill with Royal Gourmet barbecue tongs.

Drizzle with the fragrant butter mixture and serve in shells.

 

The savory flavor from these little bowls is nothing but incredible. It’s so garlicky and spicy, giving the fresh scallops an amazing taste.
