Yogurt Chicken Kebab

 

Summer is getting close. It is time to plan your next grill party. Choosing recipes is significantly important, as you don’t want to risk of making your guests suffer from these dried out, tasteless food.

Kebabs are usually fast to grill and easy to eat, which makes them hot choices among home parties. As a matter of fact, kebab has been popular for long time. It realizes the combination of various ingredients, surprising you in possibilities time after time.

The recipe introduced here today is yogurt chicken kebab.

 

If you used to have chicken with BBQ sauce in a tomato-based sweet and spicy flavor, it’s time for a change. The moist, creamy and tender taste you get from this yogurt-marinated chicken will undoubtedly impress you.

 

Ingredients you’ll need:

5 Chicken thighs

1 cup Greek-style plain yogurt

1/2 cup mayonnaise

3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp ground pepper

1 tsp ground turmeric

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp dry basil

1 tsp paprika

 

 

Tools you’ll need:

Royal Gourmet Stainless Steel BBQ Skewers

Royal Gourmet Silicone Barbecue Brush

 

 

Have the chicken thighs cut in similar-sized pieces, take a big bowl and add the ingredients above accordingly.

Mix them well with spatula. Keep the marinated chicken in fridge for at least 3-4 hours.

Light up your grill to a medium setting for 15 minutes.

Once heated, grease the grates with olive oil and place the skewered chicken on grates.

It takes about 20 minutes in total. Turn the skewers occasionally during the cooking so that both sides will be beautifully charred.

When the chicken skewers are done, take them out from grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Pair with freshly made tomato and cucumber salad, and it’s ready to serve.
