It is actually really easy to make great tasty kebabs, as long as you choose the right ingredients and marinade. Meats like chicken and shrimps are popularly chosen by grillers, since they usually come out moist, tender and flavorful, and are hard to fail. However, beef kebabs, as long as you make it right, are really a hit in your grill party.

 

Today’s beef kebab recipe is going to tell you how to achieve juicy and tasty beef kebab at home.

 

Ingredients you’ll need:

Sirloin steak

1 tbsp kosher salt

2 tbsp tomato sauce

2 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp lemon zest

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp ground pepper

1/2 tsp chili powder

3 cloves garlic, chopped

1/2 cup olive oil

As a matter of fact, it’s a bit tricky to grill beef kebabs, as it’s hard to find a balance between flavor, tenderness and value. Some parts are too lean and are prone to dry out, while some moist and tender parts are expansive, in which case sirloin is a better choice.

Cut the sirloin steak into 1-inch cubes. Take all the ingredients above and mix them well. You can use either a plastic sealing bag or a bowl to marinate the beef cubes for 3-4 hours.

As the marinades don’t really penetrate the meat, you don’t really have to marinate overnight.

 

Turn on your grill to preheat and grease the grates.

When the cubed beef is well-marinated, skewer them in moderation. Some cooks like to have their skewers interspersed with vegetables, which we don’t really suggest here, as you don’t want to overcook your sirloin while your vegetables are not yet done. Therefore it’s better to prepare both beef kebab and vegetable kebab, but in different skewers. You can customize your vegetable skewers with the ones you like.

 

Grill your beef skewers over medium heat and have the lid down. Turn it occasionally to have each side well-charred. It takes approximately 8 minutes in total when your beef kebabs are ready to serve.
